Baggeridge completes biggest project for Corium
Sedgley-based brick manufacturer, Baggeridge, has recently completed its biggest project to date for its fast track cladding system, Corium.
Just over half of those questioned (52 per cent) listed a home's overall character as being a priority when it comes to a new property, with location coming in a close second (44 per cent), followed by space and internal layout also playing an important role in the decision making process.
Mark Morris, sales director for Baggeridge, said: "It's interesting that character has been highlighted within the survey because for so long there's been so much emphasis placed on location, location, location".
""We acknowledge and agree that the character of a house is important and believe that original features and the brickwork of a home have been somewhat neglected in the house buying stakes for such a long time.
"With so much choice also available today, it's easy to create character simply by choosing a particular variety of stock brick".
Other results from the survey revealed that if money was no option, barn conversions would be the home of choice for a vast majority of the respondents (78 per cent), with three storey Victorian town houses also being a popular choice.
Behind closed doors it seems that there are distinct differences between the sexes when it comes to favourite rooms within the house.
Women, it seems, prefer the home comforts of their bedrooms whereas men favour the lounge where they have the remote control at their fingertips.
Mark adds: "We were keen to discover peoples thoughts about their existing homes and aspirational properties and think that the results reflect this perfectly.".
