The launch of Bahco's new ergo designed angled side cutters follows research with professional electricians and maintenance engineers who use angled as well straight cutters.

As well as the ergo design benefits for easier and more comfortable working, the 2101G-A angled side cutters feature a 14deg angled head for better accessibility, sharper jaws with 20% better leverage, and an on/off return spring to suit the user's preference.

The Bahco 2101G-A angled side cutters come in three sizes with maximum cutting capacities of 1.8/ 2.0/2.5 mm of piano wire, and overall lengths of 140/160 /180 mm.

Recommended prices, including VAT, range from GBP26.79 to GBP 30.26.

The 2101G-A side cutters have a special high leverage joint placement, which reduces the cutting forces needed by 10%, and the sharper jaws aid cutting by a further 10%, ensuring the cutters need 20% less effort to use.

The jaw shape also prevents materials slipping down the jaws.

The 2101G-A jaws have been angled at 14deg, as research with professional users has shown this is the optimum working angle in cable binding.

This also leaves comfortable hand room when cutting flush, leaving no exposed wire ends on the work piece.

The spring return can be switched on or off to suit the task in hand, as repetitive work is often far easier with automatically opening jaws, while this can make other jobs more difficult.

As well as these outstanding features which ensure less effort and easier working, new, two component ergonomic handles combine durability with a secure, non-slip grip.

Bahco's unique ergo design programme is based on a scientifically recognised 11-point programme covering facts and experiences gathered from users, ergonomists, industrial designers, research and development departments as well as extensive testing and trials with end-users.

It is designed to minimise the possibility of strain or other injuries and maximize working comfort.
