Bathroom and Kitchen EXPO has announced details of the Workshop Theatre to run alongside the exhibition.

Bathroom and Kitchen EXPO, the UK's only national trade exhibition dedicated entirely to the bathrooms and kitchens industry in 2007, has announced details of the Workshop Theatre to run alongside the exhibition (13-15 May, ExCeL London) Delivered and supported by the industry's leading trade associations and a number of highly respected manufacturers, the workshop programme promises to be educational, highly informative and a must for anyone involved in the bathroom and kitchen industry

Reflected in the workshop programme will be the show's primary themes of water conservation and energy efficiency.

For example, day two will see leading brassware supplier, Deva Tap, hold a session entitled 'Environmental Solutions for brassware'.

Focusing on the impact water saving brassware can have on the environment, this workshop will explore how switching to flow restricted and thermostatic products can help prevent further wastage of precious resources.

Deva will also discuss how altering customer perceptions is key to maximising the market for eco-friendly brassware and urge suppliers to recognise that they can make a significant contribution to water conservation whilst retaining brand values and sales.

In line with the show's water conservation theme, day three will see the BMA and Waterwise explore the highly relevant issues of water efficiency in the 'Water Efficiency Workshop'.

The complexities of Government regulations will be explained whilst highlighting the best way to capitalise on the rapidly emerging market for water efficient bathroom products.

The BMA will host two other workshops at EXPO which will explore inclusive design and the importance of a professional, qualified workforce.

The team at EXPO recognise the importance of industry training and is delighted to announce that the KBB NTG will host 'Training People for the Industry by the Industry' on each day of the workshop programme.

Particular attention will be paid to the importance of training within the KBB industry as well as identifying how successful and invaluable courses have been for businesses and individuals.

"The NTG is delighted to be involved in this year's Bathroom and Kitchen EXPO as it gives us the opportunity to meet with key industry personnel" explains Renee Mascari, Chief Executive of the KBB NTG.

"For the NTG the exhibition is a great platform to highlight the many courses that are now available to the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom industry".

And, kitchen specialist, Poggenpohl will lead a workshop entitled 'Kitchen Trends'.

Drawing from more than 110 years of experience as one of the leading kitchen brands worldwide, Poggenpohl will explore the history of kitchen design and offer its predictions on future kitchen design trends.

Other workshops to run throughout the duration of the show include: 'Colour and Contrast RIBA CPD' delivered by NCH Colour Centre, 'Consumer Protection; positive promotion to your customers' led by the KBSA, and 'Electronic Undertile Heating - RIBA CPD approved workshop' by WarmUp.

"The workshop theatre will undoubtedly be one of the centrepiece attractions at this year's Bathroom and Kitchen EXPO with an impressive line-up of speakers set to address key issues facing the bathroom and kitchen industry" says Show Manager Graham Martin.

"Visitors to the workshops will benefit from the depth and expertise on offer from industry professionals".

Launched in 2001, Bathroom and Kitchen EXPO is a biennial event.

In 2005 the event featured over 150 exhibitors in over 17,000m2 of exhibition space and attracted a final visitor attendance of 8,267 (ABC audited).
