Barnshaws Steel Bending, after many months of hard work, were accredited by the British Standards Institute with the prestigious Quality Management System ISO 9001:2000.

The BSI representative Gary Fenton paid a visit to the West Midlands site to officially hand over certification to Managing Director Craig Barnshaw.

Barnshaws is the world's largest steel bending company with an enviable range of services focussed around manipulating metal.

These services include section bending, section splitting, plate bending, plate shearing and profiling to mention but a few.

They have been working for over 30 years to get to where they are today at the very top of their industry.

The ISO 9001 system will improve many areas of the company but Barnshaws are keen to point out the many benefits that their countless customers will see.

The major point for Barnshaws is to improve customer satisfaction wherever possible.

ISO 9001 will mean improved communication both inter-company and to the outside world along with more efficient ways of working on the shop floor and in the office.

Customers will be impressed.

Barnshaws say that the ISO 9001 accreditation will give them a real competitive advantage over the nearest competition.

As world leaders in their field, this will only stretch the gap left behind them.
