Trotec T2000 from Barber InSys is a new multi-function measuring instrument for building/construction/timber industry.

The Trotec T2000 is a rugged hand held indicator for precision measurements in a harsh environment, offering one handed operation and "Thumb Wheel" control The large illuminated display is clearly legible in poor light conditions, facilitating numeric values to be recorded photographically

At the heart of the T2000 is a 24 bit analogue/digital converter providing long term stability and precision results not achievable in analogue instruments, even in harsh environments.

The "Serial Digital Interface" (SDI) allows a vast range of SDI sensors to be selected for use with just one instrument.

Measurements are calculated in the SDI sensors and transferred to the T2000 digitally.

Other makes of sensors are also connectable to the T2000 via the BNC socket using an adapter cable.

Extensive tests with experienced users, research institutes and trade associations have proven the high practical capabilities of the T2000.

It is suitable for both classic applications in industrial and building damage diagnostics and for many areas of the building trade such as floor and tile layers, painters and carpenters who need to test the moisture content of walls, floors and wood.

Temperature compensation with and without an external sensor is possible in wood moisture measurement.

The T2000 has a menu option which allows selection of hundreds of different kinds of wood specifically for measuring the moisture content of wood materials.

This is enabled by about 40 validated material curves stored in the software which can be selected from the T2000 wood type table, with appropriate material number.
