US based construction management business of Balfour Beatty to develop 40-acre justice campus near Denver International Airport.

Heery, the US based integrated architectural, engineering, project and construction management business of Balfour Beatty plc, has been appointed to develop a multi-phased master plan for the Adams County 40-acre justice campus, located near Denver International Airport.

The $30 million project (GBP14.5 million) will add eight new courtrooms, six magistrate hearing rooms and a new 500-seat jury assembly room.

To enhance building security and ease long lines and walks to the building, the project team is designing a remote screening pavilion that will be accessed via a covered colonnade along the parking lot perimeter.

The master plan includes a 650-bed pre-trial detention facility that should follow soon after completion of a new court wing, a 280-car parking structure for Sheriff's personnel, and a central power plant.

Twenty-year projections include a Phase 3 court wing addition and a 200-car parking structure.
