Construction work totalling over GBP10 million is now underway at Alba Business Park, Livingston, after Miller Developments began the construction of eight new office pavilions.

When completed, the pavilions will total 31,500sq ft of office space and will be available to purchase or to lease The buildings will feature fully flexible floorplates and, depending on size, occupiers will be able to choose from terraced, semi-detached or detached properties

Suites will range from 1,700 sq ft to 8,700 sq ft.

Planning permission for the scheme was granted in September 2007 and Miller Developments have appointed Ashleigh (Scotland) Limited to undertake the construction project, with the works expected to be finished by August 2008.

Neil Finnie, Miller Developments, said: "We are very pleased to have started construction so soon after obtaining planning permission".

"Business in West Lothian is in excellent shape, and we are confident that there will be strong demand for these attractive, high quality office suites among businesses looking to join this rapidly growing business park just minutes from Livingston town centre." The pavilions are one of a number of ongoing developments at Alba Business Park, including Quintiles' GBP7.5m, 132,000 sq ft development of a pharmaceuticals research centre.

Jones Lang LaSalle and GVA Grimley are the marketing agents for Miller Developments.
