Balfour Kilpatrick win Riverside Museum contract

Balfour Kilpatrick has been awarded a GBP3.5m contract to provide mechanical services for the new Riverside Museum.

The new museum will replace the old Glasgow Museum of Transport which currently attracts around 400,000 visitors annually.

Balfour Kilpatrick is providing mechanical services including low temperature hot water heating, supply, extract and re-circulated ventilation, BMS/automatic controls, trace heating, above ground drainage and commissioning and water treatment.

Balfour Kilpatrick will start on site in July 2008 for client HBG Construction and completion of the project is scheduled for July 2010.

The ultimate client is Glasgow City Council.
