Union Square contract for Regional Balfour Beatty

The Aberdeen Office of Balfour Beatty Regional Civil Engineering has been awarded a GBP1 million contract for Union Square Developments Limited at its prestigious project in Guild Street, Aberdeen.

The works at the GBP250 million Hammerson development are part of the fit-out of the Marks and Spencer store and follow on from the earlier contract at Raiths Farm in Dyce for Union Square Developments , to construct a new rail freight facility.

John Hayes, Managing Director (North of Scotland Region), Balfour Beatty Regional Civil Engineering, said: "We are delighted to secure this new repeat business for this important client and maintain our successful, local relationship".

The Aberdeen-based region's current portfolio includes a new ferry terminal on Raasay, Skye, a project to upgrade Ronaldsway Airport on the Isle of Man, a maintenance framework for at Aberdeen Airport and infrastructure work at a housing development in Inverurie.
