Timber frame construction firm Benfield ATT has appointed Paul Davies to head the expansion of its new regional office.

Davies will be responsible for developing timber frame project management work in the North West Region, West Midlands and North Wales, and to oversee national prestigious projects.

Davies has significant Timber and Timber Frame experience having held a number of high-level positions with local and national companies.

His early career included "hands-on" experience building high-specification Swedish-style Timber Frame houses in the mid 1980's.

Since then he has worked in Sales and Management within the Timber and Building Materials industry and in the Information Technology sector.

He has served on the governing bodies at local and national level for The Institute of Wood Science, The Builders Merchants Federation and the Institute of Builders Merchants.

Paul Davies' appointment was finalised in February 2005 and he is already involved in negotiations with a number of developers and architectural practices in the area.
