National law firm Bevan Ashford EPL (Exeter, Plymouth, London) is listed by Chambers and Partners Guide to the UK Legal Profession, as number one in the South West Region for construction law advice.
The position, which it shares with Masons, is a climb up in the ranks for Bevan Ashford from last year's second place John Birch of Bevan Ashford's Exeter office was one of only nine construction lawyers in the South West singled out for distinction as a leader in the field
The 2003/4 Chambers and Partners goes on to say that Bevan Ashford offers astute commercial advice and that it is renowned for its work in adjudication, mediation, partnering and procurement issues.
The legal directory also notes that Bevan Ashford's client Mid Devon District Council has been awarded Beacon Status by the office of the Deputy Prime Minister for its pioneering approach to construction procurement.
