Taking place on April, 9th 2008 in the Seminar Theatre at GPandT, Ian's presentation "Keep safe - regulations 14 and 15" will take a closer look at the issues affecting health and safety in the workplace as well as the various benefits of window film applications as a complete solution for safety, solar performance, aesthetic and UV protection concerns.
Mr Penfold is a well-respected specialist with over 25 years experience in the window film and flat glass industry.
He was recently appointed Chairman for the Applied Window Film Group by the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) and is also Flat Glass Sales Manager for Solar Gard Window Films, manufactured by Bekaert Specialty Films, in the UK and Ireland.
The events' cutting-edge conference program will feature free technical seminars covering a range of topical issues facing the Glass and Glazing industry.
Conducted by leading industry experts, the presentations will provide practical advice and real-life solutions for solving a host of social and environmental issues associated with glass such as the reduction of energy usage, CO2 emissions and carbon footprint.
As the UK's only dedicated exhibition for the fenestration, doors and conservatory industry, Glassex (Hall 4) attracts visitors from a wide range of sectors including the building sector, door, window and conservatory manufacturers, installers, systems companies, hardware, consumables and the public sector.
In Hall 3A, the Glass Processing and Technology event will cover the flat, structural and decorative glass markets, as well as insulated glass and glass in the built environment.
