BBA testing gains keymark registration

BBA Testing Services has been registered to undertake testing in accordance with the EU-wide Keymark Scheme for thermal insulation products.

The BBA has the only commercially run laboratory in the UK that can do this work To gain the necessary accreditation, the BBA Testing Services team has had to meet a number of exacting standards, including working to extremely close tolerances on test equipment, demonstrating expertise in testing and ensuring the laboratory itself was accredited to the EN ISO 17025 Standard (introduced to make certain that accredited laboratories across the EU work to common standards of competence and calibration)

The Keymark is a top-up to the requirements of the European Standards for insulation, involving a third party accredited laboratory in initial type and audit testing.

Assuming all is well, the manufacturer can use the Keymark in literature and promotional material as additional proof to customers of the quality and provenance of test data. Request a free brochure from British Board of Agrement ...
