BBA Testing Services gains Keymark registration

A British Board of Agrement product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Mar 13, 2008

BBA Testing Services has been registered to undertake testing in accordance with the European Union-wide Keymark scheme for thermal insulation products.

To gain accreditation to carry out this work, the BBA Testing Services team has had to meet a number of standards, including working to close tolerances on test equipment, demonstrating expertise in testing and ensuring the laboratory was itself accredited to the EN ISO 17025 standard.

The Keymark is a top-up to the requirements of the European Standards for insulation, involving a third-party accredited laboratory in initial type and audit testing.

Assuming all is well, the manufacturer can use the Keymark in literature and promotional material as additional proof to customers of the quality and provenance of test data.
