Full BBA Certificates for Hardware
BBA announce that it will now be offering full BBA Certificates for Window and Door Hardware systems rather than the Assessment Reports it has used in this product sector to date.
'The thinking was always that hardware didn't really function until it was part of a window or door, but I'm pleased to say that thinking has moved on and we can add hardware to the 200+ product sectors where BBA Certificates are available', says Sales and Marketing Director Alan Thomas The new arrangement will also involve annual audit testing
This is a feature of Secured by Design's requirements in related areas and the BBA believes this will be welcomed by the industry as low quality product substitution for BBA tested and approved products will not be possible.
Holders of Assessment Reports for hardware will no longer be able to use the BBA logo after April 2009 and the BBA anticipates this will give sufficient time for all holders to migrate to the new scheme. Request free introductory details about products from British Board of Agrement ...
