PropFM Returns to Total Workplace Management Total Workplace Management 2007 - 10 -11 October 2007 - Olympia, London

London, 2 August 2007.

Following last year's exceptionally successful launch, the PropFM conference will once again take place at Total Workplace Management 2007, from 10-11 October at Olympia, London.

Looking at the synergies between the property and facilities management sectors, this year the PropFM programme will include the integration between the estates, IT and human resources functions within a business.

The title for day one (10 October 2007) is 'Managing Convergence', and speakers will focus on best organisational practice as we venture in to a new way of working.

An increasingly mobile workforce raises big issues in the areas of technology and communication, reporting, and workplace management - as the conception of 'a workplace' changes, so must organisational structures.

Companies are frequently giving their IT, HR and estates management departments tasks to complete independently to facilitate a more mobile workforce.

However, increasingly, companies are choosing to make these roles more integrated, serviced by a single department.

PropFM will include sessions from the pioneers in this field, investigating the secondary effects on corporate structure.

The second day (11 October 2007) of PropFM will focus on how an integrated approach to the issue of sustainability can provide environmental and commercial benefits.

There is a growing consensus now that the need to reduce carbon emissions is becoming a business imperative.

Legislation means that high polluters will pay higher taxes and consumers are demanding greener brands.

With building stock contributing to 50% of carbon emissions, companies must think about strategies to ensure that their fixed assets are performing sustainably.

Ian R Fielder, BIFM Chief Executive Officer said: "I'm happy to endorse the PropFM conference this year on behalf of the BIFM.

Key issues of integration between estates and other functions, plus an innovative approach to the issue on everyone's minds - sustainability - makes this conference one that no senior property or estates professional can afford to miss".

The full conference programme is just GBP499 + VAT and also includes free entry to Total Workplace Management 2007.

A 15% discount will be offered to delegates who book before 10 September 2007 and a 10% discount will be offered to groups of 5 or more booking at the same time.

PropFM is organised in partnership with Remit Consulting and supported by Fasset.
