Bright Outlook For Stainless Steel Reinforcement
A new CD Rom from the British Stainless Steel Association [BSSA] contains a previously unpublished report on the 'The Use of Stainless Steel Reinforcement in Bridges'.
Entitled 'An Introduction to Stainless Steel', the presentation provides advice on selecting and specifying stainless steel grades and finishes and is illustrated with examples of typical architectural and constructional applications.
At the conclusion of the presentation, a short multiple choice questionnaire is displayed to the participant who, on successful completion, can download a CPD certificate and file it as part of a self assessment record.
Architects who have completed this online module, have not only been impressed with the instruction format, but also found the concept of obtaining a CPD credit online very practical and convenient, without incurring any loss of time and money associated with travelling.
Commenting on this development BSSA Director Duncan Munro said: "We have been providing regular CPD lunchtime seminars for architects through the RIBA CPD Providers Network for the past three years.
By using the Internet we are delighted to be able to extend the audience for these seminars to other construction professionals and smaller architectural practices.".
