Benefits lead to rise in BWF membership
British Woodworking Federation has released its 2007 figures announcing healthy rise in membership numbers.
Fifty eight companies were accepted into the British Woodworking Federation (BWF) in 2007 with more companies set to join in early 2008 New members include Waller Yorkshire and Sanford Joinery Services , both of whom represent the increasing trend of young entrepreneurial companies joining BWF to take advantage of member benefits and networking opportunities

Timber Windows Still On The Up
In the six months to February 2004, a net 21% of timber window manufacturers reported increased sales, with 53% stable, compared with the previous six months.
Michael Lee, BWF Membership Director says "There is a clear increase in young companies taking up membership".
"The industry is increasingly aware BWF members have a competitive edge over non-member companies".
"We help our members achieve Code of Conduct status and provide practical business and marketing advice".
"Members also have access to the wealth of knowledge available from the entire BWF community".
Richard Waller, Managing Director of Waller Yorkshire says "One of the key factors for joining the BWF in 2007 was to develop our business and for the support they provide".
"They have helped us with industrial standards, building regulations, health and safety and employment regulations".
"The BWF is about more than just wood, it's about all the important stuff in between that as a small family business can be difficult to keep up with".
Richard Lambert, Chief Executive of the BWF says: "We are very pleased with the increase and I look forward to working with our new members".
"2007 was a year of transition with the introduction of the WITForum and the new Total Support Services".
"We are expecting even more membership applications in the new year based on our new programmes".
Planning for 2008 is well underway, with the BWF looking to find new and innovative ways to engage with its members.
