So how do entrepreneurs in the construction sector de-stress and enjoy the fruits of their success?.
According to the research, nearly seven in 10 (68%) of owners and managers spend time with their families, nearly three quarters (73%) enjoy the company of their partners, while 52% find sex the perfect way to relax.
And with the whole country well and truly immersed in World Cup fever, nearly four in 10 (38%) entrepreneur's cited watching sport as the best way to de-stress themselves.
With (39%) choosing to be more than just armchair supporters by playing sport to unwind after a gruelling day.
To take their mind away from the office, over half (68%) down kitchen utensils in favour of eating out, while four in 10 (40%) opt for drinks with friends to provide a welcome rest from work worries.
The research also revealed that more owners and managers unwind watching TV (69%) than reading a book (63%)".
"Striking the right work-life balance can be a struggle for the busy entrepreneur, however, making time to find an activity that encourages you to relax can have a positive effect on your business".
"It might seem obvious, but taking a well earned break for rest and relaxation will leave you feeling refreshed and mentally alert".
"As a result you and your business will perform better" said Robertson.
