British Turntable becomes Movetech UK

British Turntable has announced it has changed its name to Movetech UK, underlining its distinctive position in solving a wide range of commercial and industrial movement and positioning problems.

By combining, under a single corporate banner, Hovair air film technology, Jung heavy-duty lifting and moving equipment and British Turntable's core expertise, the new name also affirms the company's position as the UK's leaders in movement technology.

The move follows considerable expansion of the portfolio, particularly in the commercial and industrial divisions, a reflection of modern developments and technology.

Managing Director, Tim Entwistle, explains: "Movetech UK's expertise now extends beyond British Turntable's core offering of rotary movement, from simple display turntables and revolving stages to precision handling equipment and HGV access and industrial turntables.

British Turntable is highly regarded world wide in these fields, however additions to the portfolio, including Hovair air film technology and Jung lifting equipment, have provided us with the ability to solve a much broader range of positioning problems.

Hovair air bearings, transporters, tuggers and skates allow large, heavy and awkward loads to be moved in any direction simply and easily while Jung machinery jacks, skates and purpose.

Regular demands for this Movetech UK's extended portfolio include bespoke manual or powered solutions to present component parts to automotive process machinery, index aircraft wings or aero engines through assembly flow lines, rotate equipment undergoing testing, move large, heavy or awkward machinery into position, present components ergonomically to an operator feeding a production line, and to speed up delivery vehicle turnaround times.
