Blunt offers free floor slip value rating service

Blunt Construction provides industrial maintenance, repair and safety applications in line with HSE standards, including floor safety inspections.

The HSE says that more than 1000 people suffer reportable injuries as a result of slips, trips or falls in the workplace on a monthly basis.

A reported 81,000 hospital admissions take place each year and the average insurance claim payable by the employer is now GBP15,000.

Accidents can occur in various places but particularly on wet floors in office receptions, retail entrances, external staircases and ramps, kitchens and bathrooms, walkways and wash bays.

To respond to these findings, Blunt Construction is offering a free floor inspection service for businesses, normally worth GBP250, to test up to three floor spaces within one building.

All testing equipment adheres to HSE standards and will provide an instant slip value rating.
