Black Millwork unveils sliding sash window designs

A Black Millwork product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Mar 19, 2010

Black Millwork has introduced a collection of sliding sash windows to its range of quality timber windows and doors.

The windows are available in traditional box sash, contemporary and spiral balance options.

The traditional box sash design is a particularly suitable for refurbishment projects, especially with older properties needing to refresh the existing fenestration.

With this in mind, Black Millwork is offering eight different glazing bars, including one to offer a match with original exterior putty to suit any style property.

Lead weights fitted to the interior frame allow the windows to be opened and closed in a single, smooth action.

Black Millwork has also developed a contemporary design which allows the window to tilt and slide on both sashes for easy access for cleaning and maintenance.

The spiral balance sash window provides an effortless opening and closing mechanism.

The system allows the window to be adjusted and locked at any point along the length of the sash.

All three window designs are high performance and includes low E argon filled double glazed units and premium Scandanavian Grade paint finishes as standard.

The sliding sash collection also benefits from Black Millwork's bespoke service, allowing specifiers to select from a wide range of colour options along with various window hardware and accessories.
