BM TRADA Certification and the Timber Trade Federation join forces to stage seminar to explain the requirements for structural grade plywood.

'Plywood CE marking and its implications' will take place at the Institute of Directors in London on 3rd September 2008, from 2.00 - 4.00pm.

The speakers will be Mark Wilkinson, Business Development Manager of BM TRADA and Nick Boulton, Head of technical and trade policy at the TTF.

The programme will address:.

- What is it all about?.

- The process.

- The roles of a manufacturer and notified body.

- The issues to date.

- What should importers and buyers be looking and asking for?.

- What is the solution?.

- QandA followed by open discussion.

The seminar is aimed at directors and senior managers involved with purchasing plywood, including agents, importers and merchants, as well as Building Control officers.

Cost is GBP30.00 + VAT for TRADA and TTF members, GBP40.00 + VAT for non-members.

Places are limited so early booking is advised.

Nick Boulton said: 'This Seminar is essential to help buyers, sellers and end users understand what evidence is needed to support the claims they are automatically making when selling CE marked plywood.
