Choice Award
Bentley's WaterGEMS V8 XM Edition has womn the People's Choice Award at AWWA ACE06.

The new WaterGEMS V8 XM water distribution modeling solution from Bentley was among the cutting-edge technologies, services, and ideas selected by AWWA's Manufacturers Council Committee for presentation in ACE06's New Product Technology Showcase.
Visitors to the showcase chose the winner of the People's Choice Award by voting for the most useful new product on display.
"The products displayed in AWWA's New Product Technology Showcase are among the most exciting innovations in the water community," said AWWA Executive Director Jack Hoffbuhr.
"The People's Choice Award indicates that visitors to the showcase judged that WaterGEMS will likely have a significant impact on the industry." WaterGEMS V8 XM Edition is the first and only water distribution modeling solution to offer utilities the flexibility of using any of four interoperable platforms in a single product.
These modeling platforms include MicroStation, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and a totally revamped stand-alone interface providing unprecedented ease of use, speed, and flexibility.
Said Robert Mankowski, director of Geospatial Product Management for Bentley, "We are pleased to accept the AWWA award and are happy visitors to ACE06 quickly grasped the significance of our new WaterGEMS edition".

WaterGEMS' demand allocation and elevation extraction modules - previously only available within the ArcGIS platform - have been extended to the MicroStation, AutoCAD, and stand-alone platforms, providing equivalent functionality and choice for all users, and full interoperability between them.
Bentley SELECT subscribers will be able to download WaterGEMS V8 XM Edition next month.
