Bentley Systems announce that it is supporting the 150th anniversary of The American Institute of Architects (AIA) as a Bronze Sponsor of AIA150.

AIA 2007 National Convention and Design Exposition - May 4, 2007 - At this gathering of more than 30,000 attendees, Bentley Systems, Incorporated today announced that it is supporting the 150th anniversary of The American Institute of Architects (AIA) as a Bronze Sponsor of AIA150 The theme of AIA150 is "Celebrating the Past, Designing the Future." While the AIA150 recognizes important and historic milestones of AIA members, its primary effort is the Blueprint for America, a nationwide community service effort funded by the AIA, in which AIA members are donating their time and expertise in 156 communities to collaborate with local citizens and leaders in addressing issues such as homelessness, sustainable communities, and downtown revitalization

Bentley's sponsorship, which is largely designed to help facilitate this collaboration process in each of the Blueprint projects, includes a Bronze Sponsor contribution of $125,000.

In addition, Bentley has donated hosted ProjectWise licenses and implementation and support services in each of the Blueprint for America communities.

ProjectWise is a scalable collaboration system for connecting people and information across the distributed enterprise.

The licenses and services, which are provided at no charge to these projects, grant project participants access to the ProjectWise system managed on Bentley's servers over a five-year period.

"Bentley's generous support as a Bronze Sponsor of the AIA150 program, and in particular our Blueprint for America initiative, is greatly appreciated," said AIA Executive Vice President/CEO Christine McEntee.

"It demonstrates Bentley's important contribution to helping create safe, healthy, and more livable communities".

"Bentley applauds the AIA's 150 years of service to America and is honored to participate in its latest inspiring initiative," said Greg Bentley, CEO of Bentley Systems.

"It is tremendously rewarding to help provide improved and more sustainable infrastructure across our nation, while making the public more aware of the architectural profession's tremendous contributions to society".

"All of us at Bentley look forward to continuing our support of the AIA as it joins in helping architects prepare - now, and perhaps over the course of the next 150 years - for the evident and ongoing changes in building design and delivery processes.".
