Leading glass tools and consumables manufacturer and distributor Bohle UK has introduced a new automated system for high volume serial glass bonding.

The basis - quite literally - of the new Bohle process is the Verifix bonding table, an innovative piece of equipment that allows the fast, easy and efficient bonding of metal to glass, typically in furniture or glass door production Coupled with Bohle's ingenious new portable bonding unit the system raises the standards for this key process

The system, entirely developed and produced by Bohle, allows metal parts to be positioned to flat glass with unsurpassed accuracy, even allowing different components - for example two hinges and a lock - to be mounted in a single operation.

With a load capacity of up to 150 kg, virtually any shape, size and thickness of glass may be processed making the system ideal for such applications as larger kitchen, bathroom and furniture fittings production.

An ideal complement to the bonding table and adhesive unit is the new Verifix light tunnel which uses four groups of UVA lamps which can be switched on variably to allow optimal curing with illumination targeted exactly where needed.

In addition to improved flexibility, speed, precision the Bohle Volume Bonding system also offers significantly reduced adhesive use whilst the innovative vacuum technology allows trouble-free application of adhesive - without the formation of air bubbles.

This promotes faster clean-up, further increasing throughput and profitability.
