Bolgers, one of Ireland's leading exporters of fabricated sheet metal, has recently completed the building of a second production facility at its base in Smithstown, Shannon.

This latest facility, which complements the Bolgers existing 3,500-square meter, purpose-built plant, has taken 8 months to build It will enable the firm to offer a wider range of services to customers, including laser profiling as well as greatly increased production capacity

The completion of the facility comes at a time where Bolgers has been strengthening its position in the market place.

Over the last two years, the company has witnessed impressive growth and it has more than doubled in size.

As a result of this new unit, and additional customer work, Bolgers is actively recruiting within the local area and believes it will increase staff levels by 35% by the end of 2009.

Bolgers believes its success in these testing economic times is because of its dedication to operational excellence and its best in class manufacturing metrics.

Testament to this approach, Bolgers recently became the first European fabrication company to receive the prestigious Silver Certificate for Caterpillar's Supplier Quality Excellence Process (SQEP).
