Bramall Construction has completed the refurbishment of its 2,010th home in Rotherham - a significant milestone as it continues work to improve housing in the area in partnership with 2010 Rotherham .

The project is part of the Decent Homes scheme set up by the government where all council properties must meet a decent standard, with modern facilities, free from damp, with warmth and weatherproofing.

The Bramall and 2010 Rotherham team celebrated the landmark refurbishment with Freda Crossley, the tenant living in the 2010th home, by creating a celebratory flower display for the occasion.

Freda Crossley exclaimed: "It's great that I've had my new kitchen installed and can now cook in complete comfort".

"All the team have been fantastic and really supportive throughout the work".

"Funnily enough when I was a little girl my stepfather had some work completed by Bramall and Ogden, they were a very small firm at the time.

That was about 75 years ago and they did a wonderful job back then.

Hopefully my new kitchen will last 75 years as well!".

John Wilcox, Marketing Manager at Bramall Construction said: "Modernising housing doesn't just improve the appearance and condition of homes, it also helps improve the community spirit in an area.

So it's great news for local Rotherham residents that we have now been able to modernise 2,010 homes and counting".

""It's vital that tenants have suitable housing conditions for the future and working closely with 2010 Rotherham we can deliver that.
