Booth Industries has finalised plans for an initiative which will give them a unique position in the UK steel door industry.

They will be able to provide a complete range of products from high performance, 'design and build' doors for their traditional, niche markets through to light gauge certified doors for the commercial, industrial and retail sectors Booth Industries will become a 'one stop shop' for steel doors

The company has finalised an exclusive collaboration with German producer Teckentrup, one of Europe's largest and fastest growing manufacturers of both custom-made performance, and high-volume commodity, steel doors.

The establishment of this strategic, reciprocal partnership coincides with the launch of a new commercial door division, Booth Commercial.

This new operation will customise, assemble and distribute a range of commercial grade doors throughout the UK and Ireland, selling both direct to contractors and the industrial door trade on a fastrack basis.

In return Teckentrup will promote Booth's high integrity doors and blast wall systems in the global markets where they enjoy a strong presence.

Barry Gregson, product manager of Booth Commercial said: "We are delighted to have concluded this distribution agreement".

"Teckentrup, a major European steel door producer, is currently expanding its export business by 30% per annum".

"Working with them over the next few years we will build a strong presence in the UK commercial steel door market".

"We will be able to supply a complete range of doors from Booth's SEAP certified security and blast doors, through to Teckentrup's basic, insulated doors for external enveloping of factory units, spearheaded by a new, fully bonded, multipurpose door which has been in development in Germany for last four years".

"These will be available at prices consistent with volume manufacture of over 1,500 complete doorsets per shift".

Our core business has significant large project experience and will now be using our multi-million pound contract resources at the commercial end of the market.

We have high expectations that entry into the commercial steel door market will materially increase the turnover of the company and help Booth Industries make a significant contribution to the growth objectives of its parent, the Redhall Group".

Kai Teckentrup, managing director of Teckentrup and Co KG said: "Like Booth Industries, we have been involved in the door industry for many years, having started operations in 1932.

We are delighted to be associated with them and the launch of their new Commercial door division.

Much of our growth is based on finding good partnerships and our association with Booths has huge potential.

The combination of our extensive product range and automated supply with Booth's specialist experience in custom-built doors, means we can set new standards in the commercial steel door market in the UK and Ireland, both in terms of price, product width and lead times".

"All at Teckentrup wish Barry and his team every success and we will be at his assistance, whenever required, to build towards the future".
