Bott keep presses rolling at News
International
Workshop and storage equipment manufacturer Bott is playing vital role at new installation at News International's new site at Broxbourne, near London.
The purpose-built facility is one of three principal UK locations which prints News International's range of newspaper titles including The Times and The Sun bott, in alliance with Luton-based distributor Motiontek, maximised storage space by creating two central work islands within the main engineering workshop, using 80 of bott's CM900 heavy duty drawer cabinets and cupboards from the company's SD range, mobile lectern units, and workbenches

Major workplace storage order for Bott
Bott has won a significant order with a major Bristol-based aerospace company to fit out 21 workshops within their new production facility.
The installation incorporated 56 metres of work surface, including bespoke manufactured oil-resistant industrial linoleum worktops and steel-clad work surfaces.
A smaller electrical room at the site, where press maintenance and testing takes place was also fitted out with bott workshop equipment.
John Hall from Motiontek commented: "Maintaining the printing presses at Broxbourne is obviously fundamental to News International's operation".

Restoration Of Suspended Ceilings Saves Costs
Given the high cost to have suspended ceilings installed it makes sense to restore them when they become discoloured.
"Creating an efficient and productive workspace for the testing and repair of this equipment is therefore crucial".
"We've worked with bott over a number of years, and so know that their products will meet this demanding role".
The project follows installation of bott workshop equipment at News International's Glasgow facility and at high-profile locations including the Royal Botanic Gardens, British Superbike Team Hydrex Honda and a Bristol-based aerospace manufacturer.
bott has also invested heavily in new plant over the past year to closely match production levels to customer demand.
Significant investment has included advanced new computer-controlled sheet metal bending machine tools and a state-of-the-art paint workshop, both of which can be quickly adapted to produce one-off bespoke items for customers or to respond to demand for particular product lines.
Paul Maynard, bott's Regional Sales Manager said: "Our products are known for their quality, reliability and robustness and we're delighted that News International and Motiontek have chosen us for this business-critical installation".
"Our part in providing the country with its most popular newspapers is one of the more unusual applications for our equipment and demonstrates the versatility of our product range".
Bott's range of storage solutions includes drawer cabinets, cupboards, workbenches and 'Perfo' boards.
They are used in a range of environments from garages, workshops and the manufacturing environment to museums, schools and archive storage.
