Bobcat dealer for Kuwait, Bahrah Trading Company, has unveiled the most impressive showrooms for Bobcat equipment in the Middle East.

An incredible amount of floorspace, well over 1000 m2, in the redeveloped showroom is dedicated to new equipment from the complete range of Bobcat machines including telehandlers, skid-steers and mini-excavators as well as a wide selection of Bobcat attachments Steve Shaw, General Manager of Bahrah Trading Company, part of the Al-Sayer Group of Companies, said: "Bobcat is the jewel in our crown"

"In our brief to the designers of the new showroom, we wanted to create a truly luxurious environment for our customers to come and view Bobcat products".

"We wanted get as far away from the normal situation - an outdoors compound with visitors and machines having to endure dirty and hot conditions".

Mr Shaw said that no expense was spared in refurbishing the showroom to the standard expected of the luxury car industry.

State-of-the-art air conditioning systems formed a large part of the $3 million invested in the refurbishment and Bahrah chose special highly engineered, load bearing tiles from Germany for the floor of the 2500 m2 total display area.

Jim Stone, Regional Manager for Bobcat in the Middle East, said: "The Bahrah Trading Company showroom is truly magnificent".

"Every credit needs to be extended to Steve Shaw, Hamza Melakandy, the General Sales Manager and the rest of the team at Bahrah for a truly wonderful achievement on behalf of the Bobcat brand in Kuwait".

As a testament to the success of the strategy, Mr Shaw told of one guest at the opening ceremony who was not previously a Bobcat customer.

So impressed with the range and the new facilities at Bahrah, the customer bought five new machines in the week following the opening.

In addition, the air-conditioned Bahrah showroom is being regularly visited after hours by Kuwaiti businessmen and their families, who can all sit on comfy sofas and have a coffee and a cool drink, whilst discussing the business of buying Bobcat equipment".

"As demonstrated by the investment in the showroom, everything we do is intended to raise the bar in the construction plant industry - we're always trying to stay one step in front of our competitors".

"We are creating the Bobcat lifestyle and appealing to both the careful and impulse buyer," added Mr Shaw.

Bahrah Trading Company has been a Bobcat dealer since 1995 and Mr Shaw has been in charge for the last six years.

He believes that aftersales support is the key to securing repeat sales in the Kuwait market".

"Everything we sell is accompanied by a trainer to help the customer when they first get the equipment".

"It is very hard to maintain a first class aftersales business in Kuwait".

"Everybody has a workshop and there is a lot of self servicing going on," said Mr Shaw.

Mr Shaw has therefore ensured a massive investment in parts inventory at Bahrah, ensuring the company is the only source of Bobcat parts in Kuwait with a 98% availability for any Bobcat part.

Compared to most Bobcat dealers where the parts turnover is 12 times a year, the Bahrah parts stock turns over only one to two times a year.

Jim Stone said: "It is perhaps not surprising that the excellent performance of Bahrah Trading Company has been acknowledged by the Best Parts Performance Award, one of four won by the company this year, including Best Aftersales Supplier in the Middle East; Best Telehandler Sales in the Middle East and an Achieving Marketing Plan Award".

Following on from ISO 9001/2000 accreditation gained two years ago, the next stage for the company is endorsement from the UK City and Guilds organisation, the first such approval in Kuwait.

Bahrah is establishing the first City and Guilds approved Training Facility in Kuwait for Bahrah staff and to provide Operator Training for customers.

Steve Shaw concluded: "With these developments, we intend to raise safety levels for operators throughout Kuwait". Request free introductory details about products from Bobcat ...

"We are also aiming to offer 24/7 support if the customer wants it and replacement machines, so that off-site maintenance can take place.".
