First Bobcat branch in UK has opened for business in the West Midlands and is marking the event with Open Days.

At the Open Days [Wednesday 21st May and Thursday 22nd May from 10 am to 7 pm both days] visitors will be able to meet the new Bobcat West Midlands team and have a look at the showroom, workshop and training centre at the new premises on Richmond Street South in Great Bridge, close to West Bromwich Among the exciting events taking place during the Open Days is the first Bobcat Driver Competition in the UK, where entrants will get a chance to try out their skills at driving a new Bobcat skid-steer loader around a designated circuit against the clock, to get the best time to win The Drivers Trophy and other prizes on the day

If driving a skid-steer loader is not your thing then entrants can also try their hand at the controls of one of Bobcat's latest mini-excavator models to test their skills against other competitors for a chance to win the Bobcat West Midlands Mini-Excavator Driver Trophy, again with additional prizes on the day.

There will also be a general raffle, whereby visitors can submit a business card and enter a free prize draw to win a remote control Bobcat Compact Tracked Loader model.

At the Open Days, there will be equipment demonstrations and guests will be able to see the full Bobcat product range, including skid-steer loaders, compact tracked loaders, all-wheel steer loaders, articulated wheeled loaders, compact excavators, telehandlers, utility vehicles and a wide choice of attachments.

Anyone interested in attending the Open Days should contact Bobcat West Midlands on Tel 07500 443343 or email helen_small@eu.bobcat.com to confirm their attendance and to find out more details.

Graham Haigh, Branch Manager UK, said: "We look forward to welcoming visitors to the Open Days at Bobcat West Midlands and we're thrilled about giving visitors a chance to take part in our first UK Drivers Competitions over the course of the two days".

"We want to show why Bobcat is the world's leading compact equipment manufacturer and to discuss with customers how we can solve any problems they have and help to increase the efficiency and productivity of their businesses".

"We would like to meet with business principals and their staff from every area from builders, construction contractors, utility companies and the rental sector to farmers, landscapers, recycling companies and general industry." To run the busy operation at Bobcat West Midlands, the company has put together a talented team to service and support customers in the West Midlands.

Reporting to Graham Haigh is Brendan Donnelly, who has been appointed as the Regional Sales Manager for Bobcat West Midlands, responsible for sales of Bobcat products and services in the West Midlands Branch sales territory.

Brendan has joined Bobcat from SGB Hire and Sale, where he was the Regional Sales Manager - North.

David Hignett is now the Workshop Manager at Bobcat West Midlands and will manage every aspect of the workshop area.

He joins Bobcat EMEA from The Royal Air Force, where he was the Engineering Technician Airframes Supervisor and Manager.

Reporting to David are the new Store Manager, Mark Evans and the Service Fitters, Wayne Hartill and John Newton.

Helen Small is the new Branch Administrator at Bobcat West Midlands, responsible for the total branch administration and the management of the administration process, including order input, order chase and invoice to customer.

Helen joins Bobcat EMEA from Arnold Clark Motors, where she was the Sales Administration Supervisor.

Bobcat West Midlands is responsible for selling and servicing the full Bobcat range in Birmingham and the West Midlands, Warwickshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.

Though the new operation follows the model used for establishing stores elsewhere in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Bobcat West Midlands will not be offering equipment for hire, but will instead concentrate on sales and service of the complete Bobcat range in its proscribed territory.

As well as greatly increasing Bobcat EMEA's influence in the West Midlands and beyond, the new Company Branch also significantly enhances service for Strategic and National Account customers.

From its central base in the heart of the UK, Bobcat West Midlands will act as a new resource for both Bobcat customers and Bobcat dealers right across the country.

As part of the expansion in the company's Strategic and National Accounts operation which will be based at the Bobcat West Midlands location, Bobcat EMEA has appointed Julie Walker as Strategic Account Manager South UK and Ireland.

Julie will manage the activity levels of Bobcat Strategic account customers in her area, ensuring performance, deliveries and aftermarket support are to the agreed service levels.

Julie joins Bobcat EMEA from Ontime Automotive where she was the Depot and Strategic Account Manager Midlands.

Reporting to Graham Haigh, Valerie Price has also joined the Bobcat West Midlands team as Strategic and National Accounts Administrator. Request free introductory details about products from Bobcat ...
