New top-of-the-range Bobcat Skid-Steer Loader

Bobcat has extended its market-leading skid-steer loader range with the launch of the new top-of-the-range S330 model.

The highest performing skid-steer loader now offered by Bobcat, the 4.2 tonne S330 is powered by a 62.5 kW (84 hp) Kubota V3800-DI-T-E3 4-cylinder Stage IIIA liquid-cooled diesel engine and offers a rated operating capacity of more than 1.5 tonnes, or 1542 kg (ISO 14397-1).

High breakout forces and two-speed travel, with a maximum speed of 19.1 km/h, enable the S330 to be highly productive in every application.

The S330 meets a market need for a larger skid-steer loader with more lift capacity and increased horsepower, and builds upon the existing Bobcat skid-steer loader line running from the smallest S70 model through to the S300 skid-steer loader.

The 1542 kg operating capacity of the S330 enables users to lift and carry loads comfortably and efficiently.

With a 3305 mm lift height and a reach of 792 mm, the vertical-lift-path S330 skid-steer loader will appeal to many customers in construction, demolition, landscaping, agriculture, horticulture, equipment rental, recycling and general industry.

The 14x17.5-12 ply Bobcat Heavy Duty tyres on the S330 ensure top performance in all types of conditions.

The increased displacement and horsepower of the engine on the S330 results in increased pushing power and drive torque for digging applications.

The engine output ensures optimal performance of high-flow attachments by providing more hydraulic horsepower.

The S330 can thus operate a high flow attachment at optimum efficiency at the same time as the loader is using its travel and auxiliary hydraulic functions.

High-flow attachments that can benefit from the higher hydraulic flow include planers, wheel saws, Brushcat rotary cutters and snow blowers.

There is a wide choice of over 40 attachments for use on the S330, the operation of which is enhanced by fingertip auxiliary hydraulic control, maximum/variable flow and forward/reverse detent, all of which are standard on the S330.

In common with the other Bobcat large-frame skid-steer loaders (S220, S250 and S300 models), the S330 incorporates an extra high capacity cooling system which features a variable speed SmartFAN that rotates at full speed only when required.

Thanks to this system, increased cooling can be provided in extreme operating conditions, such as when using high-flow attachments or in heavy digging applications.

The cooling system also enables the S330 to perform well in high ambient temperature conditions and on high altitude jobsites.

With an industry-leading cab design, the S330 provides unmatched operator comfort and visibility.

Operators can easily enter and exit the spacious cab which features ample leg, foot, arm and head room.

An adjustable suspension seat and the pedals are designed to accommodate operators of all sizes.

Customers can choose from a range of options, including an enclosed cab with heating and air conditioning.

The S330 has automatic engine shutdown triggered by monitoring devices on the hydraulic system to enhance loader uptime and protect the customer's investment.

The sensors for the S330's operating system monitor several machine functions with gauges, LCD, warning lights and audible alarms, warning the operator of irregular conditions to aid in service troubleshooting.

The S330's transversely mounted engine allows for easy access to routine maintenance items and quick serviceability.

An optional deluxe instrumentation panel provides information on the function of specific attachments by showing the operator which fingertip auxiliary controls to use.

The S330 can be equipped with either the Bob-Tach attachment mounting system or the optional hydraulic Power Bob-Tach system, both of which facilitate quick and easy switching between attachments.

Optional operator convenience features include selectable joystick controls (SJC) with horsepower and speed management.

The horsepower management feature, which comes standard with the SJC option, automatically adjusts the loader drive system to maximise pushing and digging power.

With speed management, operators can 'dial in' their desired travel speed in small increments from 0 to 11 km/h, while maintaining drive torque and full hydraulic power.
