Bobcat smallest truck loader at Saltex

A Bobcat EMEA product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jul 1, 2009

Bobcat are exhibiting at Saltex, together with partners, Bobcat of London, Versatile Equipment and R F Hayden, and will unveil the new T110 loader.

New compact loaders, excavators and attachments are among the Bobcat stand (U16A and Demo Area U16) at Saltex, with the first showing of the smallest in the Bobcat Compact Tracked Loader range and several new launches in the Bobcat excavator range.

Bobcat will also be showing the largest model in the company's compact loader range, the T320, alongside the 2200D diesel-powered utility vehicle.

Completing the stand display will be a selection of attachments for use in equipment rental, landscaping, forestry, groundcare, horticulture, estates management and many other applications.

The 2.3 tonne T110 model provides increased prospects for contractors, landscapers and a host of other customers thanks to its ability to be transported on a light trailer towed by mid-sized vehicles.

A hydraulic flow of 52.2 l/min on the T110 enables fast bucket rollback/dump and other workgroup functions, and also ensures the T110 is an excellent tool carrier for the more than 20 different attachments designed for use with this machine.

The 4401 kg T320 model is a vertical lift path loader offering a rated operating capacity of 1461 kg, making it the largest compact tracked loader manufactured by Bobcat.

Driven by a powerful 67.6 kW Kubota V3800-DI-T liquid-cooled diesel engine, the T320 has the highest power-to-weight ratio in its class.

It is designed to meet a market demand for increased productivity (more engine power, more pushing force and more hydraulic power to give decreased cycle times) and an enhanced capability to run a wider range of attachments, including the most demanding high flow attachments.

The Bobcat 2200D multi-purpose, four-wheel drive utility vehicle offers an enhanced ability to tackle a wide range of terrains for applications as diverse as working on farms and country estates to gaining access across construction and landscaping sites.

Among the latest attachments from Bobcat is the Forestry Cutter, for use with the high hydraulic flow versions of the Bobcat T320 compact tracked and S330 skid-steer loaders, as well as with the existing T250, T300, S300 and A300 loader models.

Designed for continuous use in shredding and mulching bushes, shrubs and small trees, the forestry cutter is ideal for fast removal of thick undergrowth.

Equipped with a drum with 24 fixed carbide teeth, the forestry cutter has a working width of 1500 mm.

It is designed for continuous work on bushes and trees 100 to 120 mm in diameter, intermittent use for trees with a diameter from 180 to 220 mm and occasional use on trees 250 to 300 mm in diameter.

Another important attachment family in this area is the Bobcat range of heavy duty flail cutters comprising three models providing cutting widths from 1.55 to 2 m.

The FC155 flail cutter is designed for use with smaller standard flow Bobcat skid-steer and compact tracked loaders such as the S130, S150 and S160 models, whilst the FC175 and FC200 work best with the bigger Bobcat high flow loaders.

The new mowers offer a number of advances over the models they replace.

The shut-off travel has been improved by almost 50 per cent , greatly decreasing the frequency of unwanted shut-off occurrences while operating, especially in rough or uneven mowing conditions.

A blade rotation indicator has been added on the left spindle to provide easy recognition of spindle rotation.

There is easier service access and the mowers have more durable spindles and pulley and deck improvements.
