Advice for specyfying access control
BPT Security provides invaluable advice for specyfying access control.
Such a design makes for incredible ease and speed of installation, providing some very real cost savings.
Installers will find that fitting a non-polarized twisted pair is much easier than traditional wiring systems, especially when running cable through already congested ducts.
Immediate financial returns will be realised, as problematic installations where it is difficult to estimate an installation time are diminished due to simplicity of installation.
The final configuration of the installation is particularly straightforward and convenient thanks to the coding and self-learning procedure which does not requirereduces the need you to set any jumper or dip-switches.
X1 can be used to manage up to four entrances, 100 calls and up to eight receivers activated by the same call.
This can be expanded to cater for multi block sites with the simple addition of a BPT control unit.
The signal can be distributed over a number of lines, to as many as 100 receivers, using just one power supply unit.
Standard issue with the system is doorbell, door lock release and time control, call waiting notification, self connection to entry panels, system busy warning and secrecy of speech, which means that conversations in progress from a different extension cannot be intercepted.
Furthermore, the ready wired twisted pair can be used to create an intercom system if required, without the need to make alterations to the riser line.
The X1 door entry system can be used with a wide selection of BPT monitors, including the new Ophera which features a 3.5" LCD screen which can be tilted to provide the perfect view of the visitor for any height of person, even if the monitor has to be positioned quite low due to Building Regulations that have to accommodate the needs of disabled users.
