BPT Security Systems (UK) has had its electro hydraulically operated Vigilo bollards installed into a prestigious commercial estate in Colchester, Essex.

Managed by Atisreal, Severalls Park is Colchester's leading commercial estate due to its substantial size, high quality units and transport links to the national road network To manage access to a key unit on the estate and provide increased security for the tenants, GSM Security has installed four sets of Vigilo 2250 bollards on the entrance and exit, integrated with a BPT door entry system, traffic lights for safety and a PC based card access control system

Tenants gain immediate access by using the access control system which lowers the bollards, whilst visitors request access using the BPT door entry system located at the entrance; when authorised, the receptionist de activates the bollards which take just four seconds to lower.

The Vigilo 2250 is 200mm in diameter, 510mm high with a weight of 02kg.

Installation is easy with the self-contained hydraulic pump and piston assembly with no special adjusting or calibration required.

Manual override is allowed in the event of an emergency or power failure.

Rising bollards, such as the Vigilo 2250, are a cost-effective and convenient way to secure premises, prevent ram raids, restrict vehicle access and prevent unauthorised parking and vehicle theft.

They are suitable for widespread use in both the public and private sectors.

Designed and manufactured by Fadini to the highest standards for BPT, these bollards are available in any RAL colour to complement their surroundings and can be integrated with Impro access control systems - also available from BPT - for total control and visibility of vehicle and personnel movement.

Customers wishing to find specific solutions to their individual vehicular control requirements can call BPT direct on 01442 235355 to receive the latest advice and most appropriate, cost-effective solutions.
