Advice for specyfying access control
BPT Security provides invaluable advice for specyfying access control.
In a typical Impro Dropbox installation, visitors to the site are provided with a proximity tag and, when leaving the premises, push the tag into the Dropbox reader located at the exit.
The tag is then read as normal and, if verified, exit is granted through the barrier or door, but the card is then retained in the Dropbox unit.
These cards are periodically collected by the customer and re used again and again.
Such a set up is highly cost-effective as the customer doesn't have to allocate staff to monitor exits and can re use the tags.
Furthermore, it's also very secure as exits remain protected at all times.
The Impro Dropbox has designed to be used with the Impro4, Impro16 and Impro64+ proximity access control systems, available exclusively from BPT Security Systems (UK) .
The Impro4 supports up to 2,000 tags operating 4 doors or gates/barriers per site with up to 10,000 sites being managed from one software package, Impro16 supports up to 2,000 tags operating 16 doors or 15 doors and up to four lifts, whereas the Impro64+ accommodates up to 3,000 doors and 160,000 users and boasts an array of features.
