BiGDUG reduces threat of musculoskeletal disorders

Leaders in shelving and storage solutions, BiGDUG with the growth of their trucks and trolleys line, set to reduce musculoskeletal disorders, the biggest threat to the British workforce.

According to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), over a million cases of back injury and lifting related disorders are reported each year in the UK, at a cost of more than GBP5.7 billion, making it one of the biggest threats to the Great British business, especially during the credit crunch.

Governed by, Health and Safety at Work, Act 1974, employers now have a responsibility to make adequate preparations if manual handling is required at work.

These preparations include, carrying out a risk assessment to identify any possible hazards, finding others ways of moving objects, with trucks and trolleys and providing their employees with an alternative means of carrying out the task.

Their stair climber sack truck is one of the many products to cause a stir with customers, as it allows the user to not only transport heavy objects, but to do so up and down flights of stairs.

Priced at just GBP39 excluding VAT, the unit comes in a powder painted finish for durability and is capable of transporting loads of up to 250kg.
