Bradstone Adds Finishing Touches
Set within six and a half acres of stunning Dorset countryside, the latest project by Courtney Developments is set to be a big success.
Bradstone Goes Balinese At Center Parcs
Devastated by fire last April, Bradstone has played a role in rebuilding Center Parcs at Elveden Forest, Thetford.
Derek says, "It was difficult to get planning for the extension and the architects had to find something resembling natural stone but at an affordable price.
Bradstone is a standard building material in this area, so was the obvious choice." Bradstone, one of the leading names in reconstructed stone, is a pioneer in the manufacture and development of some of the most natural looking concrete building materials including walling, roofing and architectural cast stone features.
For this project Bradstone's Rough Dressed Walling in Southwold shade and Bradstone Conservation slates were used.
"The products chosen closely resemble those that are used in the area, and following the completion of this addition, I've received a lot of compliments on the look of the building from people living nearby and patrons," adds Derek.
"The appearance of both the Inn and hotel is a real draw for people driving past because it looks good, well cared for and an inviting place to either stay or visit for a drink and something to eat." Rough Dressed walling is a popular product in the Bradstone range and is reminiscent in appearance of roughly dressed quarried stone.
Available in a wide range of sizes and shades including Cotswold, Southwold, Weathered Cotswold, Keinton, Silver Grey and Ironstone, the walling allows for regional variations in coursing styles and indigenous stone characteristics.
Conservation slates have been specifically developed to meet the demands of strict planning guidelines and have the appearance of natural Cotswold and Collyweston stone slates.
The range includes main slates, under ridge and eaves slates, with matching accessories including ridge and hip units.
