One of the UK's leading housebuilders has named Bradstone as one of its top five suppliers.

One of the UK's leading housebuilders has named Bradstone as one of its top five suppliers George Wimpey Homes' annual Performance Monitor Awards, rate its sub-contractors and suppliers according to the points scored within Production, Customer Care, Buying and Commercial departments

Bradstone Cast Stone and the Rebastone walling range scooped both 4th and 5th place respectively in the Wimpey Bristol region "Supplier Quality Award." Bradstone is a leading name in reconstructed stone and provides walling, roofing and cast stone products to the house builder and commercial sectors.

As an authentic, economical alternative to natural stone, it is readily available and easy to lay.

Rebastone walling was added to the Bradstone structural portfolio in 2003.

Used as a structural and decorative product, it comes in a split or rustic finish and is supplied nationwide for domestic and commercial building projects.

Both products have been used extensively on recent Wimpey developments.

Bradstone was used on the Moorhaven Development in Western-Super-Mare, complementing the thatched roofs and traditional chimneys used on the houses to blend with the local environment.

Rebastone was specified for the North Dorset based Kingscourt Meadow Development of two, three and four bedroom homes, and was chosen for its compatibility to the rural setting of The Blackmore Vale.

Rob Stevenson, Regional Production Quality Manager for Wimpey Homes comments: "The awards highlight Bradstone's outstanding efforts to supply materials to programme and ahead of schedule, when a crisis arises".

"By the scoring being site led, the results are a true reflection of the views of the people at the 'coal face' and both brands should be congratulated for their continuous efforts".

Ian Smith, Commercial Manager for Rebastone added: "To be recognised as a leading supplier to the housebuilding industry is a great achievement for the firm which strives to deliver a service to meet the growing aesthetic requirements for developments in rural areas.".
