Following demands for a wider range of roofing applications to match environmentally protected areas, Bradstone has extended its Old Quarried roofing range with the addition of Lichen Green.

Following demands for a wider range of roofing applications to match environmentally protected areas, Bradstone has extended its Old Quarried roofing range with the addition of Lichen Green Bradstone, an Aggregate Industries Business, and one of the leading names in reconstructed stone, provide walling roofing and cast stone products to house builder and commercial sectors nationwide

Old Quarried, one of the top selling ranges to date, is a natural stone effect slate in a range of sizes, with the natural colour and characteristics of square stone roofing seen predominately in northern areas of Britain.

Lichen Green has been developed following strong interest for replica natural stone in areas of outstanding natural beauty, particularly the dales of Yorkshire, with the Yorkshire Dales National Park being one of the first to approve the product for immediate use.

The Yorkshire Dales is well known for its historic landscape, from large country houses to modest cottages, which represent the hub of Yorkshire's cultural heritage.

The Built Heritage Conservation Team set out to preserve the historical nature of the countryside, specifying only those materials that match or enhance the special architectural character of the listed structures in the area.

The introduction of Lichen Green follows Bradstone's other major innovative development for this year, Stone Slips - an economical, cost effective and environmentally friendly system for housebuilding and commercial applications, helping to minimise on-site wastage and health and safety issues.

Mark Barter, Commercial Manager for Structural Products comments: "Product development is at the core of the Bradstone philosophy and with greater demand nationwide for a wider range of products, it is essential that we respond to changing market demands".

"The development of Lichen Green is testament to the continued success of Old Quarried roofing".

Bradstone has been involved as a producer of replica Cotswold stone since the early 1900's.

Over the years its ranges have extended and now replicate many of the 200 or more types of indigenous stone found in the UK.
