Random Pavers Employed To Reflect Rustic Setting
Random mixes of pavers from Brett Paving's Alpha range used to sensitive effect around character residential properties.
While bold expanses of single colour paving frequently suit the starker styles of modern architecture, a landscaping company in East Anglia has been employing random mixes of pavers from Brett Paving's Alpha range to sensitive effect around character residential properties.
Gary Cooper Paving Limited from Wymondham in Norfolk first employed the blend of Autumn Gold, Burnt Oak and Terracotta with highlights of Blue, Green and Brindle as the result of a challenge from a developer refurbishing an older style property.
The effect has been judged so attractive that other clients have now asked the firm to repeat the exercise.
Gary Cooper comments: "The most recent project we have undertaken using the random mix of Brett pavers was around a large cottage on the outskirts of Swanton Morley.
They have been used to form paths with two wider stretches of walkway at the front and back of the house while we have also used Kent Curbs for two sets of steps.
"We used random sizes of the pavers in Autumn Gold, Burnt Oak and Terracotta and then went back and replaced odd units here and there with a Blue or a Green.
I used to buy my pavers from another manufacturer but I really like the colours that Brett offers; especially the Autumn Gold.
They really add character to the appearance of an older house.
This is in fact my fourth job using the random colours and I still have the same number of orders ahead.
As part of the contract Gary Cooper Paving made use of Brett's special recessed manhole covers which enable sections of paver to be set in line with the overall design, thereby muting the visual impact of the drains.
