Brett Paving have introduced a new 50mm thickness for their ever-popular Theta paving, which will be ideal for paths, domestic driveways and patios.

Timed to coincide with the opening of their new paving block factory at Cliffe in Kent, Brett Paving have introduced a new 50mm thickness for their ever-popular Theta paving, which will be ideal for paths, domestic driveways and patios around the home, where the extra strength of thicker blocks is not needed Theta is one of the more traditional blocks in Brett's extensive range

With a hand-hewn "rumbled" finish (no sharp edges) and available in six colours, the main Theta block is 200mm long and 100mm wide, making it ideal for herringbone, basketweave and stretcher bond patterns.

Individual character can be added by using different colours or by using other Brett paving products - Theta cobbles (half the size of Theta setts), Theta Duo (twice the size) or even the differently-sized Alpha and Omega blocks, both of which also come in 50mm thicknesses.

Brett's new factory, which is the largest of its type in Europe, increases capacity at the Kent site by 60 per cent, allowing production of 2.8m square metres of concrete block paving a year - the equivalent of 1 1/4 football pitches every day! Customer demand has exceed manufacturers' supply in the concrete block paving market for some years and with its enhanced marketing, increased production capacity and new products such as the 50mm Theta paving blocks, Brett Paving looks set to increase its market share substantially.

As David Marsh, Brett Paving's Operations Director, says "Our customers will benefit from improved packaging, faster deliveries, greater stockholding and a wider range of products.
