Keepmoat, who are patrons of the trust, are currently refurbishing accommodation at one of its centres in Ullswater in the Lake District.
Saint-Gobain Isover, in addition to its cash donation, has also pledged to supply free materials to this project.
Allan Durning, sales and marketing director, recently visited the centre and met the Duke of York who is chairman of the board of trustees of the trust.
Steve Howe, deputy director of Outward Bound Trust, said: "The contribution from Saint-Gobain Isover will mean a very great deal to dozens of young people who aspire to complete an Outward Bound course this summer".
"The trust will use this generous donation as a bursary for those young people from disadvantaged backgrounds who wish to discover their potential and have a great deal of fun as they canoe, climb and sail at one of our residential centres in Wales, The Lake District or Scotland.
"Organisations which choose to support the Outward Bound Trust are helping to create a generation of young people who have learnt how important adventurous activities can be in learning about working in teams, facing challenge and creating an ambitious and positive outlook on life".
Allan Durning, sales and marketing director, said the company was delighted to have the opportunity to be associated with the Outward Bound Trust.
"Anything we can do to help young people realise their full potential, both personally and professionally, is money well spent," he said.
