Technology breakthrough in ceiling boards
British Gypsum launch unique 4-tapered edge Arteco Gyptone ceiling board that allows very high quality monolithic acoustic ceilings to be created in prestige areas where aesthetics are crucial.
The robust, perforated 1200 x 2400mm gypsum boards, which are backed with a special acoustic tissue, have been jointed to give a clean, monolithic appearance.
They can be decorated and redecorated in the future without affecting acoustic performance, and add gypsum's fire safety and durability to their stunning lifelong aesthetic appeal.
The boards were installed at the 89-unit development by local drylining company DM and C Ash of Lewes, using techniques similar to those for a normal plasterboard suspended ceiling, on a standard British Gypsum CasoLine MF concealed metal grid.
Guidance on Part E compliance, plus a comprehensive range of residential ceiling specifications is available in British Gypsum's new 12 -page 'Residential ceilings guide'.
