British Gypsum new 2700mm standard length of its popular Gypframe 60I50 'I' Stud is designed to reduce waste and save time for contractors.

British Gypsum is introducing a new 2700mm standard length of its popular Gypframe 60I50 'I' Stud, designed to reduce waste and save time for contractors working on the renovation and conversion of existing buildings into apartments The Gypframe 60I50 'I' Stud is widely used by contractors looking to upgrade existing walls to meet new Part E sound requirements using the British Gypsum independent wall lining system, GypLyner IWL

With typical floor to ceiling heights of 2400 - 2700mm, however, existing 3600mm stud lengths have proved uneconomical for this application, in addition to generating unnecessary off-cuts.

The new 2700mm stud will therefore save contractors time and money, and contribute to site waste reduction targets.

It will help to improve health and safety, through reduced handling and cutting and reduction of waste on site, and can be used as part of a complete British Gypsum solution to qualify for the SpecSure lifetime system warranty.

The new Gypframe 2700mm 60I50 Stud, which features the unique UltraSTEEL treatment for improved strength and fixing, will be available ex-stock from existing stockists and distributors, without a bespoke premium.

The 3600mm length will continue to be available for new commercial applications where floor to ceiling heights are generally greater.

Further information on Gypframe 'I' Studs and on the GypLyner IWL independent wall lining system are available online.
