BREEAM scoops prestigious award
BREEAM has won the 'Best Program' Award at the influential 2005 World Sustainable Building Conference held in October in Tokyo.
BREEAM has won the 'Best Program' Award at the influential 2005 World Sustainable Building Conference held in October in Tokyo The award is in recognition of BREEAM's status as the most successfully executed programme for promoting sustainable building practices, and influencing other initiatives worldwide
The bi-annual conference is held to exchange the latest knowledge, research and practices among researchers, practitioners, private sectors, government related organisations and students from around the world.
This year's conference was attended by more than 1,700 participants from over 80 countries and regions.
"We have always been very proud of BREEAM and the way it has been extensively copied around the world," says Martin Wyatt, Chief Executive of BRE.
"It is very gratifying that its success has now been formally recognised by such a respected gathering".
