Broxap the UK's leading manufacturer, supplier and installer of street furniture, cycle storage and shelters, acquired the business of Maelor Trafflex, of Wrexham.

Broxap the UK's leading manufacturer, supplier and installer of street furniture, cycle storage and shelters, acquired the business of Maelor Trafflex, of Wrexham Maelor Trafflex who employ four people at their factory, are a successful plastic litter bin and traffic island bollard manufacturer

The acquisition of the business was £700,000 which equates to approx the same amount of sales generated by the business per year, however Mr Robert Lee Managing Director of Broxap .

expects this value to triple within in three years.

The acquisition allows Broxap to enter into the plastic litter bins market which generates around £80 million of business per year which is currently dominated by three companies.

The company will retain its workforce at its Wrexham factory and the company has been rebranded as Broxap Maelor Trafflex.

The Maelor Trafflex litter bin is recognised as the toughest plastic bin in the UK, due to its unique steel inner bar which surrounds the liner.The litter bin is used in the Potteries and sold to Local Authorities throughout the UK.

Maelor Trafflex's litter bin is also recognised as the UK's leading pest control litter bin, with its lockable, concealed bait base that sits beneath the liner of the bin.

The bait bases are lockable and discreet and are not accessible to the general public.

Broxap have also recently launched a dedicated litter bins brochure, featuring an array of litter bin and recycling units in materials such as: Steel, Stainless Steel, Plastic and Cast Iron.
