BCF statistics show some good results
British Coatings Federation latest figures show useful increases in UK sales of decorative paints and industrial coatings.
Recent statistics from the British Coatings Federation (BCF) show that June was in general a good month for the UK industry, with the latest figures showing some useful increases in UK sales of decorative paints and industrial coatings, despite the fact that the month was one working day shorter than in June 2006 Sales of industrial coatings were particularly encouraging, as the results for June mean the market has shown consistent growth in each of the last three months, with overall litreage for the last quarter as a whole up about 4% on a year ago

Woodcare sales were hit by the very high rainfall and lower than normal levels of sunshine - however, total sales for the last 6 months were down just 0.7%, largely due to some good performances in March and April when weather conditions were much more favourable.
