To reflect recent developments in European cable standardization, BSI has just updated BS 6007:2006 Electric cables.

To reflect recent developments in European cable standardization, BSI has just updated BS 6007:2006 Electric cables.

Single core unsheathed heat-resisting cables for voltages up to and including 450/750 V, for internal wiring.

This standard specifies constructional and performance requirements for single core unsheathed heat-resisting cables for operation at voltages up to and including 450 V a.c.

o earth and 750 V a.c.between conductors, intended for use as internal wiring.

It includes methods and conditions for routine mechanical and electrical tests.

Contents of BS 6007:2006 include: Scope, normative references, terms and definitions Voltage designation Construction details Electrical tests Non-electrical tests BS 6007:2006 supersedes BS 6007:2000 which will be withdrawn on publication.
