The British Codes BS 8110 Structural use of concrete Parts 1, 2, and 3 will no longer be supported by BSI from March 2008.

BS 8110 will still be available to purchase, for historical purposes.

The committee feel that as the full package of Eurocode 2 including its National Annexes and supporting documentation are expected to be complete by the end of 2006, industry will be fully prepared to switch over to the new system by 2008.

The transition to the Eurocode 2 Design of Concrete Structures will therefore be complete.

Although the exact status of BS 8110 from that time will be influenced by changes to the UK Building Regulations, it is anticipated that designers will use Eurocode 2 for the design of concrete structures.
